Stress Management – Simple Tips To Avoid Heart Attacks And StrokesIf you don't handle stress it can make you feel tired, drained and depressed - it can also kill you. Here are some simple stress management tips to help you combat stress and preserve your health.Stress management is the active and constant correction to your body and mind to the forces of stress and pressure. The worst form of stress is the daily, repetitive and constant stress from any source. It makes your body constantly react, release hormones and enzymes into your circulatory system, and in the end, destroys your immune system altogether. Learn to manage stress now, and you can avoid that heart attack and stroke, just waiting to happen. How Does Someone Know They are Stressed Many people do not know they are suffering from stress and the effects of stress. A few simple self-tests, and you can see if you are both stressed and suffering from stress. During any time of the day, do a body survey. Are you hands clenched? Do you have “nervous leg” (leg moving up and down with the ball of the foot as a pivot)? Is your face tense? Is there some pains in your shoulders or arms that should not be there? Test you pulse? Is it over 80 beats per minute when you are at rest? Do you have high blood pressure? If any of these answers are a yes, you can be sure you are being stressed and suffering from stress. Identify the Stressors It is very crucial, both for your health, and well-being, to be able to identify the stressors in your life. It is not really difficult. Start now. Make of list of all those people, situations, and factors that cause you stress. Make the list first in any order. Then when you finish all the items that are stressors, you must grade them form 1 to 5, 1 being the worst, and 5 the least. With the stressors identified and graded, you now can create a system to manage the stress. Grade 1 Stressors and Actions Required For all grade 1 stressors, you must find a way to either eliminate or extricate yourself from the stressor source. If the grade 1 stressor is your boss, you may need a new job. If it’s a mother-in-law interfering in your happy home life, you may need affirmative action. Take the list of grade 1 stressors, and put a workable solution next to each item. Re-read the list, and consider the alternative of not acting on removal of the stressor. If you get a heart attack or stroke, your life may be over. Acting now can save your life. Grade 2 to 5 Stressors For the lesser graded stressors, do exactly as you have done for the grade 1 stressors, but you do not have to be so critical as you were for the very negative stressors. If a grade 2 stressor happens to be a neighbor’s annoying cat, you might counter the stress by listening to music you enjoy (and not removing the cat, which you might find impossible to do anyway). Be less critical, but nevertheless, even in grade 5 stressors, find a workable solution. Stress First Aid If you find your hands clinched, or your face tensioned, take one minute “time out”. Sit quietly and relax the tensed and stress reacted areas. Consciously relax the part of you that is stressed. This minute is for you. If you can’t find a quiet place to go, use the bathroom. Put some cold water on your face and wrists. Sit for a moment till you are calm. Do this any time you see yourself stress and tense. It could save your life. Stress term describes any mental, emotional or physical reaction that is abnormal. Stress is a natural part of our life. Sometimes it is beneficial because it keep us focused and persistent on our goal (work, study, etc.), but generally stress is one of the major threat of our mental and physical health. Feeling stress, especially on a daily basis and for a long period, may cause several health disorders, such as anxiousness, headaches, blood pressure, hair loss, depression, even heart attach. According to recent surveys, the 3 major causes of stress in developed world are job, family and health issues. Many stress management strategies have been developed recently by psychologists. However, nobody can claim that every patient who may follow his treatment will totally eliminate stress from his life. In this article we will present you some of the most efficient aromatherapy tips that can help you reduce stress level and achieve emotional and physical well-being. Throughout history, some scented plants and their aromatic water have been used for relaxing and smoothing purposes. Holy basil is a native herb of India (where it is known as tulsi), sacred plant of the Hindu civilization and used for thousands of years for healing. Scientific studies on natural properties of Holy Basil have found that it reduces body hormones named corticosterone and cortisol, which are intimately connected with stress, anxiety and mental clarity. Consequently, Holy Basil is one of the best antidepressant therapeutic grades and its essential oils are highly recommended for stress alleviation. Other, more well-known, essential oils which can be used for soothing nervous tension and reducing stress are: Lavender essential oil, Ylang-Ylang essential oil, Chamomile essential oil and Geranium essential Oil. Lavender’s scent has calming and anti-depressant properties. Ylang-Ylang is described as euphoric essential oil that helps in uplifting mood. Chamomile essential oil can relax body and mind and can provide restful and peaceful sleep. Geranium oil, is another sedative and relaxing essential oil, that can balance adrenaline. Before, suggesting some aromatherapy recipes for stress relief, I want to underline that dealing with essential oils might be dangerous especially for inexperienced persons. Keep in mind that essential oils are concentrated potent substances and should never be placed directly on skin. Use carrier (base) oil for dilution and after you can apply it on skin. Moreover, remember that only few essential oils can be taken internally and used during pregnancy. Aromatherapy oils can be used in burners and diffusers. Add 5-10 drops of your favourite essential oil to water in the bowl and heat it. Sit back and relax, while the essential oil vaporises and its perfume creates a soothing atmosphere. Another way to benefit from essential oils is by inhaling them. Put few drops on a tissue or a cotton pad, put your nose near and just inhale. Keep in mind, that this is the easiest and the only one way to benefit from essential oils when you are outside your home and you want to relieve tension (at work for example). Additionally, you can reduce stress with aromatherapy bath and massage. Add 4-6 drops of essential oil to your warm bath water and stay in it for at least 15 minutes, allowing the oil to penetrate your skin and indulge yourself with the advantageous vapours. Finally, you can add 5 drops of essential oil to every 10ml of base oil and massage your body. The ideal parts of your body for relaxing massage are around the neck, shoulders and back. In conclusion, stress is an unavoidable piece of our modern way of living, but there are some easy to follow techniques that can enhance the body ability to cope with emotional and physical stress. The most sweet-scented is Aromatherapy. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com

They claim to have the ability of bringing the opposite sexes together. Due to the fact that pheromones are actually chemicals created and released through our bodies it enables us to smell and have a chemical reaction with other humans. Male and females have their own distinct pheromones to attract the opposite sex. Having stated that fact, can pheromones really help attract the other sex?Reasons Pheromones Should Work All because we as humans and of opposite sexes have our own pheromone chemicals, it only makes sense that there should be some kind of attraction caused. After all, pheromones are a completely organic and natural; what better way to be more aware of the opposite sex. An attraction should be understood to mean that it is just that, an attraction from male to female and of course female to male. There is no guarantee that pheromones will indeed make you attractive to all opposite sexes or even any. You may just experience the simple reaction to normal attraction between the male and female. What About Pheromones in Perfume and Colognes I suppose you have heard all the advertisements stating that certain colognes and perfumes that are infused with pheromones will make you totally irresistable with the other sex; just remember pheromones can only ignite and attraction with the other gender. There is no way a pheromone can make someone really like you, we all know real attraction is much more complicated than that. So, if you come across one of those advertisements telling you that this perfume with the pheromones will be instantly drawn to you, please do not believe it; as you have just learned, pheromones will not work as they describe. Do Pheromones Work - Time To Discover The Truth Sorry to say there is no simple explanation to the above question, depending on the question being asked will decide on the answer you will get. If the question is as simple as, do pheromones work to possible start an attraction between females and males, we can give them a simple yes. The usual attraction between the sexes is caused by the pheromones. If the question is, can pheromones make you irresistable to your other gender, we will have to give a firm no. Just try to remember when purchasing pheromones they will not give you those kinds of results. Pheromones are very subtle in the attraction arena. They will not the end to any lack of dating you may experience, however, they may create that little spark needed to get you started with the opposite sex courtship. Human pheromones cannot be placed in a bottle, put on a shelf and then be brought out just because you need a date for Saturday night. It would be wonderful if pheromones did work that way but I certainly do not expect to see it happen in the near future. They do have their use in many ways and even help us to be healthy and yes, even safe. That will be coming up in future articles. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com

Emotions, Energy And The Physical BodyHave you ever wondered why we associate so many of our emotions with particular internal organs? In some cases we actually feel our emotions internally, such as the churning in the stomach that comes from nervous excitement ("butterflies") or the deep sobs associated with grief. Also, the sudden onset of fear can have an unfortunate effect on the bladder. In other cases, the connection is metaphorical: we refer to bitter anger as "bile" and talk about people who make us angry as having lots of "gall," both of which are references to the liver/gall bladder duo. Joy and its counterpoint sadness are strongly associated with the heart ("heartfelt joy" and "broken heart"). It would be easy to rationalize these associations as nothing more than quaint notions inherited from less scientific times, but in my work as an energy therapist, I have come to understand the complex connections between our emotions and our physical bodies. According to the tradition of energy studies that originated thousands of years ago in China, emotions are an expression of our life energy, called "chi." This energy flows through 12 primary channels or meridians, each of which is associated with a major organ or physical system: lung; large intestine; kidney, bladder, stomach, spleen, liver, gall bladder, heart, small intestine, circulatory system, and thyroid. Each of these meridians governs a particular set of physical, emotional and mental characteristics. It is interesting to note, therefore, that worry and anxiety do in fact correlate with the stomach/spleen pair of meridians, grief with the lung/large intestine pair, anger with the liver/gall bladder, and joy with the heart meridian. And the kidney/bladder pair does indeed govern the emotion of fear. It may be helpful to consider the view that we actually have two bodies - the physical and the energetic - which are intrinsically linked like the yin and yang in the well-known symbol. In a way, they co-create each other: the energy body provides life to the physical body which in turn provides the basic form for the energy body. In fact, without knowing it, we all display an innate understanding of the synergistic relationship that exists between these two bodies. Here are some examples: - Pinching the bridge of the nose between the eyes when anxious. On either side of the bridge of the nose is the starting point of the bladder meridian, a major regulator of all chi functions. So when we pinch the bridge under stress, what we are really doing is stimulating the bladder meridian. - Putting a hand over the collarbones in response to shock. This serves a similar purpose but with regard to the bladder’s partner, the kidney meridian, which ends just under the collarbones. Just as a shock can "set you back" it can affect the flow of your meridians and even throw them into reverse. Touching or tapping under the collarbones corrects any meridian reversals that might exist. - Rubbing of the temples to combat a headache. This is an effort to moderate an imbalance in the gall bladder meridian, which crosses the temples and ends beside the eyes. The gall bladder meridian winds its way back and forth across the sides of the head and is implicated in many types of headaches, particularly migraines. - Clamping a hand over the mouth in response to shock or surprise. In this case the purpose appears to be the linking of two special meridians, the "central vessel" that runs up the front of the body and ends on the lower lip and the "governing vessel" that runs up the back and over the head to end on the upper lip. Every meridian is either yin or yang and these two special meridians regulate all yin (central) and yang (governing) energies, so keeping them in sync is important for overall balance. - Linking the two sides of our bodies, such as clasping our hands together or crossing our feet. This promotes lateral balance in our energy bodies, another important element of healthy functioning. Every meridian has two branches, one on either side of the body. In addition to flowing properly on its own, each meridian must also remain in contact with its counterpart on the other side, so when we cross our legs or clasp our hands together we are promoting communication between the two halves of our energy body (half the meridians begin or end on the fingers and half begin or end on the feet). These gestures therefore help us to achieve a greater degree of relaxation or concentration. We also encounter the energy body when we enjoy a massage. We all know how good a massage makes us feel, but the question is, why does it affect our emotions in addition to our muscles? The explanation lies in the correlation that exists between the muscles and the meridians. In addition to being related to the major organs, every meridian is also associated with two or three major muscles. Stress in one is reflected in the other and treating one will likewise have a beneficial effect on the other. So a shoulder massage that melts away the built-up stress of a hard day at the office is actually treating the energy of the kidney meridian, which is related to the muscles of the upper shoulder and lower neck. The kidney meridian is a particularly "emotional" meridian and an important regulator of all the emotions and meridians. A back massage is the ultimate energetic/physical body treatment because it influences the entire energy body in a number of ways. First of all, the bladder meridian runs down the back, so a massage here directly affects this important pathway. The bladder meridian is unique in that a number of its acupoints (the same points acupuncturists use) are also directly related to each of the other meridians, so the effects of working this channel are transmitted throughout the energy body. The bladder meridian is associated with the muscles that work the spine, so massaging them further enhances the effect on the bladder energy. And finally, a back massage also includes other muscles on the back and shoulders that correspond to other meridians. Hopefully this information has helped reveal the complexity that lies beneath those aspects of our being that we tend to take for granted. If nothing else, next time you feel like treating yourself to a massage, you can think of it as a medical necessity rather than a guilty pleasure. Your energy body will thank you for it and will reward you with better physical and emotional health. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com

Weight Loss Without Hunger PainsWhen many people think about dieting, they picture having all their food taken away, being given a small portion to eat then feeling hunger pains while waiting for the next meal they’re allowed to have. In the minds of many who want to get on the track to losing weight, weight loss programs are about as appealing as a prison sentence. It doesn’t have to be that way. Instead, you can take on a plan of healthy dieting, using better nutrition to acheieve weight loss without feeling hungry. It’s not necessarily about how much you eat, but what you are eating in those large quantities. The next time you prepare for a meal, look at the items you are eating. Is your plate full of items that are high in calories? That’s where the problem is. Author Brenda Watson, who wrote the book, The Fiber35 Diet says the secret is to have a plate full of low-energy-density, or lower calorie foods such as vegetables, fruits, beans, and whole grains that are high in fiber. Avoid high-energy-density foods which are higher calorie foods that have a lot of processed sugars or fat. For example, on one plate you have one candy bar, on another plate, a complete fruit salad. Which one would make you feel fuller? The fruit salad will be tasty as well as more satisfying to your stomach, and still have about the same amount of calories as one candy bar. The key to losing weight without feeling hungry is being able to eat comfortably sized meals while still taking in fewer calories. High-fiber foods are the solution to the puzzle these foods are lower in calories, so you can eat more of them, and they take more work for your body to break down. That means you’re using more calories in the digestive process. When you add low-energy-density foods, rich in fiber, into your diet, they help your body feel fuller. Studies have shown that the fiber you eat will actually trigger the hormone called cholecystokinin (CCK) in your body. That is the hormone that tells your body that it is full, and takes away feelings of hunger. Consider it a natural appetite supressent. Without those urges to eat coming from your body, you will be able to make it meal to meal without feeling like you are being punished on your weight management plan. Those who are eating a high fiber diet are getting other bonuses they may not have known about. As the fiber makes its way through you digestive system it will absorb toxins and cholesterol and carry those unneeded items out of your body. In addition, because of the time it takes for high-fiber items to break down into sugars, you do not experience a ‘sugar spike’. Instead, your body gets a consistant, slow supply of sugar into the blood, keping blood sugar levels stable. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com

Time management at work can be hard to accomplish, whether you are self employed or working in a group environment. There are so many distractions to overcome such as the telephone, speaking with work colleagues, checking email messages or going down the corridor to get a coffee and bumping into someone who's just returned from vacation. You know what I mean... "Hi Ron, how was your vacation? What did you do? Give me all the goss!" Before you know it, half an hour has passed an you are "behind the eight ball!" Get the best strategies with our tips and tricks plus, get the latest time management news and tips at:www.timemanagementsite.com Time Management's Five Key QuestionsOne of the basic rules of time management is to sort out the tasks that are truly important and then focus on completing them, but what is the best way to determine whether or not a task is important. Even good time managers often get this wrong and as a result spend time on the wrong tasks. As a basis for achieving this objective I am going to make the assumption that in a perfect world all you would spend your time on is activities that you really enjoy. Now we can ask if there is a system that will allow you to do that and still accomplish all the desirable outcomes for your life as well as avoiding all the undesirable outcomes. We don't really live in a perfect world so you may never fully achieve the above goal but you can get very close if you are clear on your objectives in life and if you develop the habit of asking the right questions. All good time management starts with having a clear set of goals and objectives for your life. You can't sort out the important tasks from the non important tasks unless you know what you are ultimately trying to achieve. But assuming that you do have clear goals and objectives where do you go from there? Once you have your goals and objectives the next step is to rank them in importance. This will basically come down to your relative values in life. For example if you value family over career then establishing a happy family life would be a higher priority than success in your career. This implies that you have to establish the happy family life first and then find ways to build your career without undermining that family life. If you have your goals and values established then you can get down to the job of sorting tasks on the basis of importance. You do this by asking four questions. The first question to ask in relation to any task is; what is the bottom line benefit to me if this task is completed? The average person gets swept up in unimportant tasks because they never take the time to really consider the potential value in completing that task. If you know exactly what completing that task can give you then you are in a position to rank the value of that outcome. You do this with the second question. The second question to ask is; how will this potential benefit help me achieve my goals and objectives? This is important because even a good benefit may not be the best option for your time. There may be another task that you could be focusing on that would provide an even better benefit and therefore would rank higher in importance. These first two questions concerned the potential benefits from completing the task but now we have to also look at the other side of the coin. The third question is; what is the consequence to me if this task is not completed? A particular task may provide little direct contribution to achieving your goals but if not completing it would result in some terrible consequence then it should be given a high level of importance. The fourth question is; how will the consequence resulting from not completing the task effect the likelihood or the ease of me achieving my goals? Even with the bad consequences it is important to relate them back to your basic goals and objectives. This gives you a way of deciding whether a bad consequence is destructive to your goals or simply an inconvenience. Once you have answered these four questions you will be in a position to accurately rank the competing tasks on importance to your life. If you decide that a particular task needs to be completed then there is one more, very important question to answer. This is the question that most people forget to ask. The fifth question is; can I cost effectively delegate this task to someone else? Remember my basic assumption stated in the beginning of this article was that in a perfect world all you would do is the things that you really enjoy? Well the fifth question is aimed at achieving that objective. If you can cost effectively delegate or outsource everything that needs to be done but that you don't enjoy doing then that leaves you free to do what you do enjoy. Try applying this five question system to the tasks that are competing for your time and I am confident that you will make better choices as to where you place you efforts. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com Breaking Your Addiction To Smokeless Tobacco With HypnosisThe smokeless tobacco addiction is every bit as devastating and dangerous as a cigarette addiction - possibly even more so. In fact, many experts proclaim that it is even more insidious. It has been been glamourized by influential sports heroes who chew, and many have started their habit as early as the age of nine. And by the time that many of these kids turn eighteen, they are devastated by mouth and throat cancer, and may be dying. While a person with lung cancer can look normal, the face of a victim of mouth cancer can be an awful sight. Imagine how a face looks after having a jawbone cut out, or the lips or tounge surgically removed. Usually the surgical butchering of the victim's face is all for nothing, because many die within a year or so anyway. The experts tell us that the physical addiction to Nicotine is broken after abstaining for seven days. However, the psychological addiction is much stronger and takes a lot more time and effort to overcome making it difficult to quit smokeless tobacco. There are 3 separate factors to a dipping habit. Two of the parts are mental, and only one part is physical. Part A: YOU CHEW TOBACCO FOR RELAXATION AND PLEASURE. When you were a child and you got upset, your mother would put a pacifier into your mouth to distract you from that upset. You would get distracted, become calmer, and often go to sleep. That sequence of events was repeated dozens of times so that your unconscious mind was programmed: When something goes into your mouth, you get relaxation and pleasure from it. Now that you are an adult, if you feel anxious or tense, you crave something in your mouth for relaxation and pleasure - chewing tobacco! Part B: DIPPING TOBACCO IS A CONDITIONED RESPONSE. Remember Pavlov? He rang a bell every time that he fed his dogs. After a few repetitions, he would just ring the bell, and that would make the dogs salivate. When you pair dipping tobacco with any other behavior, the other behavior will trigger cravings for chewing tobacco and a urge to dip tobacco. This is called a conditioned response. For example: If you dip tobacco when you drive your car, you will automatically get an urge to dip tobacco each time you drive your car. Here is exactly how this conditioned response gets programmed into your subconscious: If a person chews smokeless tobacco and simultaneously drives a car, the mind takes a picture of the chew in the hand, and connects it to the image of the steering wheel, dashboard, or view out the windshield, etc.. Thereafter, every time the person drives the car, his unconscious fills in the missing part of the picture. It flashes an image of the chew in the hand coming towards the mouth, and the dipper gets a craving for chewing tobacco. You may be unaware of the mental picture of the chewing tobacco, because it may only be at the subconscious level of mind. Just as you are not consciously aware of what you are seeing through your peripheral vision until someone draws your attention to it. But the image is there, creating a craving for smokeless tobacco. Part C: THERE IS A PHYSICAL ADDICTION TO NICOTINE, BUT . . . I've worked with several thousand people for tobacco addiction and I can guarantee you that the physical addiction to smokeless tobacco is the weakest part of the addiction. In fact, I believe that it is only ten percent of the addiction. I believe that 90% of the smokeless tobacco addiction are the mental and emotional parts! (Parts A and B). HERE IS WHAT THIS MEANS TO A PERSON WHO DIPS SMOKELESS AND WHO WANTS TO QUIT. What this means is that when you eliminate the tension that pushes you to put dip into your mouth for relaxation and pleasure (Part A) . . . and if you can extinguish the conditioned response of feeling compulsions for smokeless when watching television, driving, or finishing a meal, etc. (Part B) . . . then you can give up tobacco without the requirement of willpower, and without experiencing withdrawal symptoms or weight-gain. Hypnosis will make it easy to break the addiction to smokeless because it takes care of Parts A & B! Here is how: Part A is where you dip smokeless for relaxation and pleasure. It's a person's thoughts that create feelings of anxiety. More exactly, people constantly run mental movies in their mind's eye. If the movie is negative, it manufactures a feeling of tension. We can use various hypnotic methods to train the subconscious mind to quickly and easily take those tension creating mental pictures and movies, and instantly exchange them for relaxation producing mental pictures and movies. This produces relaxation and pleasure, and eliminates the tension that causes the oral cravings for chewing. Because of the elimination of stress, the person who is quitting does not feel the compulsion or need to substitute food in place of the chew. So quitting without weight gain is possible. Quitting the addiction to smokeless is very similar to overcoming the addiction to food, cigarettes, and nail biting. I have many additional original articles on these topics in my free hypnosis & NLP article repository. Part B is where you chew because chewing becomes a conditioned response to many different activities and locations. Remember in the earlier example how smoking became unconsciously associated with other activities and environments so that each time a person who chews gets into that activity or environment, the mind flashes an image of smokeless tobacco in your hand, and the image of the smokeless tobacco in your hand triggers an urge to chew tobacco? There are efficient hypnosis and NLP techniques that can effortlessly eliminate those conditioned responses so that your subconscious will lose the cravings for dip, and the compulsion to chew tobacco. As a matter of fact, you can even get a compulsion to reject dipping smokeless. TO SUMMARIZE In summary, by using certain NLP techniques, it can be very easy to stop dipping smokeless without weight gain or having to suffer from withdrawal. And many of these hypnotic techniques don't even depend on post-hypnotic suggestions. They depend on training the unconscious mind to use the same mental processes that the unconscious is using to create the dipping tobacco habit, to eliminate the mental addiction.
